If you're a fan of the Evil Dead Movies, you'll love this quote-filled Army of Darkness Defense game. It's a casual tower defense game that sees you playing as Ash, mobilizing the people against the hordes of 'Deadites' threatening humanity.
For the most part, Army of Darkness Defense is a fairly standard tower defense game. You have to protect the necronomicon from the clutches of the 'Deadite' army. They approach from the right, and you have an ever increasing well of resources to pit against them with each level. The main difference is that you can actually move the main character around, and although Ash will attack automatically, it makes Army of Darkness Defense seem more dynamic than it otherwise would do.
In terms of gameplay, Army of Darkness Defense is not as refined as Plants Vs Zombies, but the inclusion of tons of samples form the movie will make it irresistible to fans. The graphics are attractive, in a cartoony way, and the sound is great.
If you're looking for a fun, and funny, casual title, Army of Darkness Defense is a good choice. It's not the best tower defense game ever, but it's charming enough to warrant playing.
